Future developments

SCIENCE sprl has always been interested in renewable energies and sustainable development. Our future initiatives will be more than ever guided buy this consideration.

Our ecological concerns guide us in the following way:

• We are actively searching for new sources of charcoal produced with an eco labeled wood as FSC
• In Nigeria, we are setting up and promoting a briquetting plant which uses disregarded fines as its raw material. This substitution of charcoal by briquettes will reduce the pressure on the charcoal demand and consequently reduce the pressure on the forest.
• Other, non carbon, energies are presently being studied.
• We are promoting in Kivu fast growing wood plantation using "legumineuse" plants like wattle or callendria for stopping forest destruction and at the same time reclaiming used land for agriculture.
• We are promoting energy savers based on wast like so mil.
• We have organise in Nigeria inspection system for characoal quality control.
